About Me

Dr. Erendira Lopez-Garcia is a licensed Psychologist in the state of Ohio. She has extensive remarkable history in establishing and delivering community outreach programs to the Latino community in Ohio. She is the co-founder of Latinas in Ohio: Facing Challenges and Taking Action initiative that emerged with the intent of facilitating community building among Latinas while celebrating their unique experience of being female and new immigrants. Her work is well respected for her academic work and her genuine engagement with the community. She is an active scholar and participant in national and international conferences addressing mental health topics, immigration issues, and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Her approach in delivering community based interventions has assisted the community in demystifying mental health problems and has enlighten the non-Spanish community in delivering culturally sensitive approaches.
